I can live with bad writing in romances, and even with endless repetition.
I do have a problem with a character calling HERSELF innocent or naiv.
The protagonist is so annoying that I want to slap her every other page.
SHE talks about loving him, when it is Christian, who tries to change and give HER what she needs.
But most of all, I hate the portrayal of every BDSM-Person in the trilogy as unstable sicko and/or psychopath is insulting to the community. That you need to be traumatised to enjoy it. That it's "the dark side".
Every form of relationship - be it Vanilla or not - has unhealthy and healthy couples or dynamics.
Obviously the authoress has no idea what she's writing about. A bit of internet research and her own twisted fantasy and voilá. I consider the Vanilla relationship (With all the melodram and jealousy and petty bickering) of the main couple more sickening than the BDSM part.
The Trilogy was a present, so I read it. I couldn't recommend it for anyone, who is interested in Erotica. The Sex-Scenes are boring and dull. The lovers behave like 15-year-olds.
I had my share of broken/traumatised lovers. A weak, selfish and hysteric person like Ana would have made anything worse.
