Avery Daniels has no other choice than to undergo the cosmetic surgery as she can't communicate due to the accident ... The story-line is very interesting and the suspense makes you want to know who the bad guy is. But Sandra Brown takes her time in letting the reader know & guess the truth. A wonderful book with a lot of twists and turns & love, hate, greed, danger and suspense. Made me want to read the book at one go ... Highly recommendable ...

MIRROR IMAGE is about Miss Avery Daniels, television reporter, who boards a flight which crashes soon after takeoff. As she awakens terribly injured in the hospital everyone adresses her as Mrs. Carole Rutledge. Apparently Ms. Daniels died in that planecrash an Mrs. Rutledge survived rescuing also her 3 year old daughter. Unfortunately her body took severe damage and her face is almost unrecognizable. Her vocal cords are damaged as are her hands and fingers. So she has no means to tell the husband of Carole Rutledge, Tate, that she isn't Carole and the face surgery which shall restore her beauty comes ever closer. One evening there is a person in her room, telling her that she shall not confess on her deadbed and that the plan to kill Tate was still on. Because her face is so bandaged she cant see who spoke. So she decides to go along and play Carole till she can be sure of the identity of the person who wants to kill Tate.

PROS:
I enjoyed reading MIRROR IMAGE because the story is basically sound and reliable. Carole, Avery and Tate's charakters are painted clearly and honest even if its not to their best. There is a constant thrill that makes you turn the page again and again and hope that everything will turn out ok in the end. The identity of the attacker is conceiled till the end and defies your wildest guessings.

CONS:
Now, at the end of the book, I realise I'm at a loss as to Tates exact looks though. I dont know his hair colour or the colour of his eyes. Its the same with all the charakters. Their traits and behavings I remember, but nothing about how they look like. I think its a pity that the author hasnt painted these things clearer so you can identify with them. I like a good female heroine but Avery has so much success with basically everything shes doing that afterwards your asking yourself why there are doctors to heal illnesses when you can have Avery? Shes knitting the marage of her brother-in law, shes bringing her niece back onto the right path, she cures her sister-in law of her alcoholism... That took some credibility off the book.

Absolutely wonderful. The best Sandra Brown book I've read. Just when you think you have it all figured out, she pulls you back in again and again. If you like a good suspense story, buy this book!

I have never read any other of Sandra Brown's books, but after reading Mirror Image, I plan to start ASAP! I loved this book from the second i read the first sentence, until the last word of the book. Avery's love for Mandy and Tate was endearing and so brave. I had 2 of the killers figured out, but the third one is the BIGGEST shocker! I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone, esp. if you want to get hooked on Sandra Brown's awesome writing technique. If you have a boring job where you have nothing really to do (which is what prompted me to read this one i found in my mom's desk drawer) this book will definately make you WANT to go to work!

T.V. reporter, Avery Daniels having to pretend to be Carole Rutledge, Tate Rutledge's wife after being mistaken for her in order to save Tate's life isn't easy especially after her falling in love with Tate. Just waiting for Tate to find out who she really was, and that his actual wife was dead really created alot of suspense. Also waiting for someone to try to kill Tate and wondering who the killer could be made the book more interesting. I thought the book was one of the best I have ever read, and I have read alot of books.

I began reading Sandra Brown's more current books. When I exhausted those I bit my tongue and started reading her "older" writings, listed as romance novels. I am not a romance fan. But I got so hooked on Sandra Brown that I HAD to read more. I am never disappointed. Mirror Image has to be among the top few I've read. It has it all. Intrigue, mystery, great plot, and yes even romance. Keep them coming Sandra!

This story is very heartfelt, it was also very riveting. I've read this book three times over the years that I've had it, and would recommed it to my friends. The heroine did what most women would not have done, I found her to be courageous in her plight to keep her "husband" safe from harm, yet taking another womens place, therefore taking everyones hatred for that woman. I give this book 10 thumbs up!!!!!

This is the first Sandra Brown book I ever read. I have read almost all of them now. "Mirror Image" hooked me from the first page. I did not put it down unil I read the last page. Sandra Brown is the master of twisting romance with a little mystery and suspense. I am about to begin her new release "Unspeakable". I'll let you know what I think!!!

The first book I ever read from Sandra Brown was Exclusive... obviously I had to read her other work. The second book was Witness which I enjoyed also but nothing compares to Mirror Image. I could not put the book down. My heart went out to Avery having to endure so much grief because of another woman. Once again, the ending took me by surprise... I loved it.
