This film will inevitably be compared to its successor, "Singin' In The Rain." And while this movie isn't as good, precious few are. Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron are majestic in this film loaded with music by George Gershwin. one of the finest American composers ever. The popular songs are delightful, and help the spirit of the movie. This film, however, will always be remembered for the ballet scene which brings the film to a close. That scene is easily one of the best ever filmed. If you enjoy musicals, this is one of the best. And if you enjoy great films, you certainly could do worse.
