I fell in love with this book after the first few pages. I could not put the book down until I finished it. I felt a connection with Anne as I read the book through her happy and sad moments. Growing up, I always wanted to be like Anne, a truly wonderful role models for young girls. Although I have read many amazing books, nothing ever touched my heart as much as this book. It is a book that every individual, man or woman, must read. I will forever treasure this book! Read it and you will agree.

I have read several wonderful books in my life. None of them were nearly as good as this one (except maybe the "Emily of New Moon" series). Anne is a imaginative and very mischevious redheaded orphan. The Cuthberts wanted a boy. Instead Ms. Anne Shirley comes along. The longer she stays the more everyone loves her. Her rival Gilbert Blythe, is also a very funny character. If you haven't read this excellent book, then brother you're missing out on everything.

I think Anne is one of the luckiest orphan children I've ever heard of . Being adopted and living in a beautiful home would make me feel happy. How could ke this SUPER - DUPER TERRIFIC BOOK ?????????

This book is one of those that define what a classic is. Anne's concept of beauty and her philosophies are universal; each generation would be able to relate to the story and grasp its meaning. The comedy, romance, drama, and adventure in it makes the book a MUST-READ.

This book is really funny, touching, and just a plain great book! I think all girls would enjoy this book! Anne deals with different problems in her life while growing up. If you haven't read Anne of Green Gables yet, I advise you to read it as soon as you can!

Anne of Green Gables was my dearest friend as a child. Full of life and imagination, something sadly lacking today. My only regret in the series was that there were no more books. If you like things with a touch more of "the mystic", check out the Emily of New Moon trilogy. Both Anne & Emily show a girl what she can truly aspire to- no matter what your background!

Anne of Green Gables is the best book. Romantic, funny, and sad. I recommend this book to everybody in the world and hope you enjoy it. If possible I would have given it 7 stars!!!!!!!!!!

I loved this novel. You immediately feel like you were there! It was the best!

I'm 18 years old and I read my first Anne book when I was 8 after begging my mother to buy it for me. After that there were many trips to the library to read all the Anne Books and as many other LMM books as possible. I read them over and over, I read them out loud to my little sisters. Any time when I'm down I jusst get this book and read it and it does me a world of good. I mean, it is just so magical. There is something about the way LMM writes that makes you feel and live the story. I hated Gilbert, I cried when Matthew dies, I cheered Anne when once again she refused to talk to Gilbert, then I loved him. Every child should be encouraged to read this book, it is just the best childrens book ever which can be enjoyed by everyone.

THIS BOOK WAS REALLY FUNNY/COOL. BUY IT, READ IT, LOVE IT!
