When starting this book you might initially think you accidentally bought a Fantasy book: it describes a group of young people that get addicted by a Computer Game that seems to communicate directly to them and to them only as the individuals they are. The game interferes more and more in their everyday lives and at the end of the day it is about life or death for some. Make no mistake, the conclusion of the book is very close to intelligent Software Reality, one of the reasons I would put this book at the top of a young person's reading list.
I read this book after my son and his friends (age 13) were captivated by it and I really loved it. Not only is it a story that gets to you from the very beginning, the book is also well written in the literary sense. Of course, as a German native speaker I am happy to see it translated into English Language. The moment it was on the market I immediately gave it to kids of American friends. The feedback was so postive that I'd assume any worries about bad translation can be put aside.

Mein Fazit: Klasse Buch. Tolle wahrheitsnahe Geschichte.
