This "novel" is a laughable try at writing adult fantasy.
Every cliche known to humanity and fantasy readers in special is served here (Oh Riiichard, I love you ... Oh Kamnell, I too love you soooo *shudder*). And this horribly immature writing style is then buffered up with extremly gruesome and graphic sex/rape/mutilation/murder scenes that I wouldnt show this book in a million years to anyone under 30, simply to protect them from this rubbish. And I am saying that being a solid fan of Game of Thrones.
And to top off the humiliating simple minded dialogues, you get a huge number of characters with an IQ below room temperature. Oh, and plot ideas stolen from all over the fantasy genre, with biggest grabs from the Wheel of Time.
Reading this wasnt enjoyable, it was a drag through a blatantly foreseeable, naive plot apparently written for minors but for the fact that it could hardly get anymore gross.
Honestly, Mr. Goodkind, if your inner fantasy turns around themes like this so much so that you feel compelled to tell it to a larger audience you should seriously consider therapy.
