Also, auch...

3.0 von 5 Sternen This book was okay it was a little on the strange side.
This book was a little strange for me. This is because in a lot of the short stories there had no problem or solution which I have never read a book that didn't have a problem or solution. One of the short stories this boy's teacher told him to give this note to the teacher on the 15th floor. But there was no 15th floor and when the boy came back with the note the...

5.0 von 5 Sternen My two boys are crazy about this book, 20. Juni 2000
Von Ein Kunde
My two older boys (7 and just 5) are crazy about this book. My 5 year is getting into reading and carries this book around with him. He reads me pieces in the car and whenever I will listen to him and he laughs about it while he's reading. My 7 year old read it over a year ago, but still remembers most of it. It's a crazy, cute book!

One of the short stories this boy's teacher told him to give this note to the teacher on the 15th floor. But there was no 15th floor and when the boy came back with the note the teacher said he had delivered the note. This book was a little bit strange for me that is why I think it should be a 3. Some of the stories were funny though. Like a girl had no use for her toes so she was trying to sell them for a nickel.

Rezension bezieht sich auf: Sideways Stories from Wayside School (Taschenbuch)
Louis Sachar wrote this book about a school where he worked called Hillside School. Since the kids and teachers in the stories are based on real people, and not wanting to embarass anyone, he called the school in his books Wayside School. Little did he know that there actually is a real Wayside School!! I was a student at Wayside School, and you had to be quick to get a copy of Sachar's hilarious books from the book fair, and they were always checked out of the library. Sideways Stories from Wayside School became sort of an unofficial book for the school!!

It is very funny. I like this book because it is funny and it is about people that are weird. One of my favorite is Mrs.jewles. Mrs.jewles is the new teacher because Mrs.gorf mysteriously dissipears.Well she thought the kids where talking monkeys. The werds wernt hard and the chapters wer very easy.Another funny chapter is calven. Calven gets a note from mrs.jewels to give to mrs. Zarves but there is no Mrs. Zarves so he wanders up and down the stairs. There is a chapter called marica. It is very funny. I recomend you read this book soon. It is very funny.

Louis Sachar is a very talented writer. This book was a little on the weird side, but I guess I like weird stuff, sometimes. I love the story about Jason. When someone puts gum on his chair and he sits down and gets stuck. Then that person gets in trouble and has to go home early. The class tries everything to get him off, but the person says she can get him off if she doesn't have to go home early. So, she tries by kissing him. She gets him off and she doesn't have to go home early. Whenever I nead a good laugh I just look for this book.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Sideways Stories from Wayside School, 4. April 2000
Von Ein Kunde
This story is about a weird mixed up school that was built thewrong way. That may be why all funny things happen at Waysideschool.Especiallyon the 13th floor. On the 13th floor there's Ms.Gorf who turns all of her students into apples. And there's Todd who always gets sent home early and John who can only read upside down and there's Sammy But he is really a dead rat. I love this story because there's some stuff that don't usually happen in our school. E ND

5.0 von 5 Sternen Funny, funny, funny., 22. August 1997
Von Ein Kunde
The "Wayside School" Trilogy are some of Louis Sachar's greatest books. He once said, "I don't write what I think kids will think is funny, I write what I think is funny." This really shows in this book. The humor is so off the wall, there is no way it was written as something kids think of as funny. Kids will think it is funny though, they will laugh out loud, just as I did

5.0 von 5 Sternen Great's Children's Book, 30. Juli 2000
Rezension bezieht sich auf: Sideways Stories from Wayside School (Taschenbuch)
I can't really explain it, but after reading Harry Potter, I've developed a great love for all my old children's stories. Sideway Stories is one of them. It was a exciting blend of humor and classroom antics. Smart and exciting, any child would love this story. It's wacky but still heart warming. Please go out and read this book. It's great stuff.
