After I read this book, I promptly bought several more copies for friends of mine. Mary Pride does an excellent job of boldly proclaiming Scriptural truths to women. Our present society praises career minded women and tells us we should "socialize" our children by throwing them into daycares and public schools while we climb the corporate ladder and "be all we can be." This book reminds us of who God tells us we are and how he has gloriously designed us to operate. The world tells us that children are a BURDEN (so don't have too many!) Mary Pride reminds us in The Way Home, what God's Word says children are....a BLESSING! Erase what our present society has taught you (which is a lie) and get your Bible out! Read The Way Home prayerfully and with your Bible in hand! Be prepared to be transformed!

Everything Mary pride presents is scripturally backed up. I have gone back and double checked her supporting scriptures. Her arguement remains in context and does not jump around. She is a sound teacher and a challange to strive towards.

It was liberating. If you believe the Bible to be God's infallible word then you will love this book. If you believe God's word is to be the authority in every institution (family, government, and church)then you will find this book a blessing. If you believe God's word to be only relevant to ones personal life then you will find this book "Horrible, judgemental, lacking compassion".

Simply put, she teaches on what the Bible says concerning our roles in the family--in particular what the role of the wife is.
