If there is a single book on Technical Analysis that I would recommend to anyone, this is it! Mr. Murphy covers quite a large spectrum of Technical Analysis and yet remains easy to understand for the beginners and intermediates alike. The methods are applicable across a wide range of financial instruments. Also, chart examples include market data that is recent and modern enough to reflect the faster online trading markets. You can't go wrong adding this great book to your collection.

Murphy's book is both useful and interesting to read as well(which is great for a TA book). His insights into TA and tradingskills make it a fundamental "core read" for anyone wanting to understand and apply technical analysis correctly to make effective trade decisions.

I found the book to be well-thought out and a comprehensive reference - this is the best TA book I've seen so far, of the many I've read. We recommend this book highly for all our traders as a 'required read'.

Learning how to trade stocks is difficult - this book is an important cornerstone of a successful traders' education. I feel comfortable recommending this book for all traders, experienced and novice alike. It's a keeper, like someone else said. Try it. END

This book is ideal for the serious investor who is interested in gaining an edge through technical analysis. John J. Murphy lays out all the elements of technical analysis in an easy-to-read and logical manner. Trend analysis, chart formation patterns, Dow Theory and a host of other technical tools are examined and explained in simple terms. While the book may be a bit of a dry read, the information contained within it will be invaluable when it comes time for investors to structure their trades.
