How to Get Filthy, Stinking Rich: And Still Have T&hellip von Herb Kay
1.0 von 5 Sternen Another Get-Rich Rip-Off, 20. Juli 2000
I believed the reviews I read here and bought this book. What a mistake! I think the author wrote his own 5 star reviews (from "the reader"). It's nothing but fluff and platitudes about the virtues of starting your own business. There's absolutely nothing new or even interesting and certainly nothing that will lead to becoming "filthy stinking rich". The author made his money as a financial advisor and investment broker and did not become rich just by starting his own business. I buy books all the time from Amazon and am usually very satisfied with the quality of the reviews ... but not this time. I'm very disappointed with this one ... don't buy it ... I'm… Mehr dazu

4.0 von 5 Sternen Be Safer, Go Faster, 13. Juli 2000
Ignore all those other reviews that whine (whinge in the UK) about the writing style ... who cares ... just ignore the little *'s and skip the footnotes. This book is primarily written for racers, but there's lots of worthwhile info on riding technique for street riders. For new streebikers, "Sportbiking: The Real World" is a better introduction to proper technique, but I still learned something from this book. "Real World" filled-in gaps in my basic riding style, but Twist of the Wrist II helped make me safer (avoiding "survival responses") and much faster through the corners (pivoting on the outside peg) ... yeehaa!
Twist of the Wrist: The Motorcycle Road Racers Han&hellip von Keith Code
This race-oriented book focuses on providing a methodology to analyse any racetrack allowing you to select and ride the lines that best suit you and your bike. Very little here for streetriders ... Flick of the Wrist II has much more on actual riding technique. If you're new to racing, buy it. If you don't plan on racing, don't buy it unless you're curious about racing strategies.
