Quite loose interpretation of the Lotus Sutra by vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. It might be a good introduction to the sutras general narrative but otherwise i would suggest the book only to readers who like getting carried away in sentimentalism.
Foundations of T'Ien-T'Ai Philosophy: The Flowerin&hellip von James A. Heisig
Today Tendai Buddhism is practically inexistant. The japanese lineage of the Tendai School today has incorporated Vajrayana Teachings and therefore discarded it's original doctrines and with them the achievements of it's founders and Masters. It's hard to find anything to read about the real Tendai Buddhism and it's original Teachings. Master Tientai or Zhiyi was one of the greatest Buddhist Thinkers of all times not only within the history of chinese buddhism but within the history of buddhism in general. For western scholars of Buddhism there is almost no english-language material available. From this point of view the book is a real gem.
Writing Tools: 50 Essential Strategies for Every W&hellip von Roy Peter Clark

Great Book but slightly overrated. It's a great collection of writing tips with lots of good examples. It even has an integrated mini-workshop for each tip listed. But what it is lacking is the humanity and the warmth of Zissners On Writing Well. In one chapter ' Special Effects ' it becomes obvious since many of the "tools" the author offers here can easily be misused for what Zissner calls "Journalese" ' that is a pretentious writing-style. Nevertheless a good reference book.
