This book contains a thorough overview of topics in Software Engineering and Testing. It uses TMM (now enhanced and re-published as TMMi) to cover basic principles like Test Design, Levels of Testing and Defects all the way to advanced topics like Quantitative Quality Control and defect prevention. It serves more as a reference book, especially when familiarizing oneself with TMMi, than a book to read through in one setting. I especially like the coverage of more advanced topics which are hard to find elsewhere and the fact that related processes not always associated with testing like reviews, process control and the test organization have been covered.

Unglaublich schönes Buch - über Jahre hinweg für alle Altersstufen, 21. Dezember 2011

Wir haben dieses Buch nun seit ca. 2 Jahren, beide Kinder (mittlerweile 4 und 7) geniessen es immer wieder, die vielen kleinen versteckten Pop-Ups noch anzuschauen und spannende Infos dazu zu hören. Solche Pop-Ups habe ich noch nirgendwo gesehen, die Details und vor allem die in die Anatomie der Tiere verankerten Bewegungen sind atemberaubend.
Weiterer Vorteil dieser filigranen Pop-Up Figuren ist, dass man so das Buch jeden Mal vorlesen und die Figuren selbst bedienen will - dadurch hält es natürlich entsprechend länger :-)

Appreciate food and chinese - all in one book, 12. November 2011

The title made me buy the book at first - took a while to start reading it but a vacation was all it needed. Fun book, each chapter looking at a different aspect of chinese food, culture and language. Very nice introduction to these topics from a different angle - after this book you will certainly enjoy eating out at you favorite Chinese place or cooking Chinese yourself a lot more.
You should read this book within a couple of days to enjoy the play on chinese characters, as the authors builds each chapter on the previous one.
