GATTACA offers a crushing blow to all positive thinkers.
It shows a stunning vision of a not so distant future where society is recruiting its top members from children who are genetically improved in test tubes. People who are born without this improvements become underdogs
and are officialy handled as an underclass which is called invalid.

I personally liked the film, there are not many films that can make me think about my set ideas of what I would like to be able to do - GATTACA is one of them. But there is more, the clothes, the hairstyles, the music everything seems to fit together to a beautiful piece of film. Gattaca is thrilling till the end. To the last minute… Mehr dazu

Schönes Buch leicht verständlich durch Praxisnähe, 6. Juni 2005

Das Buch fängt klein an mit PhP und führt über die Grundlagen
weiter zu MySQL, weiter zum eigenen Gästebuch und am Ende dem Weblog.
Dabei werden durchgehend realitätsnahe Beispiele genohmen die das Lernen um ein
vielfaches spannender machen. Im zweiten von zehn Kapiteln lernt man
schon einen Besucherzähler zu schreiben
und im dritten Kapitel kann man schon
einen eigenen Vote erstellen.
Insgesamt ist das Buch durchgehend einfach zu verstehen
und geht sehr praxisnah vor.
