About Ordering from a Marketplace Seller

Marketplace Sellers are independent sellers who offer a variety of new, used, refurbished, and collectible merchandise.

The steps to place an order with a Marketplace Seller are the same as placing any other order on Amazon.de. Amazon will pass your payment to the Seller but never pass along your payment information.

You should never send payment to a Seller except through Amazon. You should regard any request to do so as fraudulent and report the Seller to us.

If the Seller's items aren't fulfilled by Amazon, then your order will be fulfilled directly by the Seller who'll also handle all of their customer service. As Amazon.de isn't directly involved in the completion of sales arranged with Marketplace Sellers, you'll need to contact the Seller directly for the following issues:

  • To ask about an item they have for sale on Amazon.de.
  • To find out when your order will be dispatched and when it should be delivered.
  • If your order doesn't arrive by the estimated delivery date.
  • If an item you received arrived damaged or becomes defective within 90 days.
  • If the item you received isn't the same as the item listing.

If a dispute arises between you and a Marketplace Seller, and you can't reach an agreement with them, you may be able to file an Amazon.de A-to-z Guarantee claim. For more information, go to A-to-z Guarantee.

Note: Sellers work hard to ensure that stock is on hand for delivery, but now and then the availability of a listed item will change by the time an order is placed. While an occasional stock-out is bound to happen, we do require sellers to keep these to a minimum.

Counterfeit goods are not permitted to be sold on Amazon.de Marketplace. If you receive a Marketplace item which you believe to be counterfeit, please let us know by clicking the Kontaktieren Sie uns button on the right of this page. We'll thoroughly investigate every reported instance of suspected counterfeit goods being sold.
