How do I create a repair service announcement?

  1. Please fill in our service announcement form ("Reparatur-Begleitschreiben") completely.

  2. Please check the completed form for correctness and print the repair service announcement (you may print the form twice if you wish to keep a duplicate for documentation).

  3. Please sign the printed form and send it together with your defective camera/camcorder to this address:

    DE - 72770 Reutlingen

    Please specify your home address in the service form, as our repair service cannot return your item to any other addresses in foreign European countries.

  4. Please return your camera or camcorder in a neutral and secure packaging as an insured parcel. Please frank the package sufficiently.

    As soon as your parcel has arrived and is processed at our repair service center, your return fees will be automatically refunded to the payment method used in your order.

    Please note: If you think you may be entitled to warranty, please include a duplicate of your invoice. If you do not have an invoice, you may request a duplicate from Amazon.de customer service.

  5. If the device cannot be switched on or charged, or if it is switching off by itself, please send in your battery and battery charger as well. Please do not send in other accessories, data carriers, memory cards or the original packaging! 

Please note:

  1. Complete the service announcement form thoroughly and ensure that you provide an accurate and detailed description of the malfunction, as this may reduce repair duration.
  2. Please specify your home address in the service form, as our repair service cannot return your item to other addresses in foreign European countries.
  3. Our repair service cannot return your package to a pick-up station. Please specify a postal address.
  4. Please note down the serial number of your device if you wish to track the repair status of your device online.
  5. Please make sure to save all data stored in the internal memory and to remove all data carriers like memory cards or digital video cassettes.

What is the current repair status?

Our repair service offers the service of online repair status tracking. You will receive an email with your personal access data for the online repair tracking as soon as your device has arrived at our repair service.

How long does it take to repair my device?

Generally, the repair takes about 10 working days for repairs under warranty (shipping time included). Please note that this is an approximate value and some repairs might actually take longer or shorter. Especially devices not manufactured by Canon, Panasonic, Samsung or Sony may have a longer repair period as those devices have to be forwarded to other repair centers.

What costs will arise?

  • The examination to assess if your device can be repaired under warranty is always charge-free. If you are entitled to warranty, we of course will repair your mobile phone at no charge and will also send it back to you charge-free as soon as possible.
  • The calculation of estimated costs is charge-free.
  • For repairs with costs, charge shipping costs and cash on delivery charges may arise, as all costs are charged by cash on delivery.

Where can I find the serial number of my camera / camcorder?

Normally, you can find the serial number at the bottom side or on the original packaging of your camera/camcorder.

Where can I find the order number?

You can find your order number on your delivery note or by visiting Mein Konto. Please click on "Meine Bestellungen" and choose the relevant order. Then click on "Übersicht anzeigen" to get a printable summary of your order, including invoice amount.
