5.0 von 5 Sternen Jack Reacher back in the military, who would have expected that, 25. Oktober 2013

I am fascinated how Lee Child manages to come up with new ideas and plots. Ths one really is one of the highights. Without wanting to give away too much but the structure of the breakout and the description is just fantastic as is the resolution.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Great, ironic and sarcastic or in other words absolute fun to read, 25. Oktober 2013

The second book in the series and i enjoyed so much that I cannot wait for the third one. It is heavy on your mind with all the descriptions of hell and the suffering but the attitude of Bobby Dollar is helping to get a grip.

What startedt as a good book has by now become a mind blowing series. The different levels remind my of inception. Absolute fun to read.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Right to the top of my list of favorite books, 23. Januar 2013

A fantastic book and a great start into a series of books that gain depth from book to book.

This very first book introduces the key characters in a story centered around the fight of the humans against an alien population. It is the fastest pacing book of the series and a great read. You just cannot put it down and it works for teens as well as adults.

5.0 von 5 Sternen What happened to Ender? Here we learn how he did on the first colony, 23. Januar 2013

Orson Scott Card went back to the Ender story right after the formics were destroyed. If by chance you do read the series for the first time I recommend that you do read this book right after Ender's Game and before you continue with the others. this would put the story in a chronological order.

This book is a refreshing surprise. It has an interesting base concept but combines it with ideas that have been seen elsewhere before. This creates an interesting mix of familiarity and surprises.

I would love to see a sequel.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Matrix, Hunger Games and Ready Player One combined, 26. Oktober 2012
Verifizierter Kauf(Was ist das?)
This book is a true gem hidden in the hundreds of ebooks. It is a combination of ideas from Matrix, Hunger Games and Ready Player One (another top recommendation btw). Imagine Earth being just a simulation, a game. Imagine that entertainment is fully focused on the events and life on earth. What an industry, what a business and as it is, this brings also the dark sides into play. But how can they alter and influence a game being played on a supercomputer where this computer has fail safes and security all around?
Ever wondered about the concept of God? If Life on Earth would just be a game would the supercomputer be God?

Even so you'll find conceptual pieces taken from other books (e.g. the concept of sponsors for players from hunger Games) this story in itself is consistent and gripping. As I said it is a true gem and I can't wait for the next book to be published.
