1.0 von 5 Sternen Can't believe I wasted the time reading this., 26. Mai 2000
Rezension bezieht sich auf: Blackheart Highway (Taschenbuch)
Hey, I'll read just about anything -- the back of a box of cereal, trash novels, old news magazines. This book, however, stretched my patience. Barre lacks any literary skill, the kind of author who's detailed love letters would probably be boring.
How bad was it? Well, I purchased two other Barre books from Amazon.com at the same time and, for the first time, have had to take advantage of Amazon.com's generous refund policy by returning those books.
As I read the other reviews, I can only wonder if somehow the cover of MY book got switched with the one they read. Am I the only one out there who couldn't stand this book?

2.0 von 5 Sternen Disappointing, 12. Februar 2000
If you're a fan of Welcome to the Monkey House, you'll be very disappointed in this collection of Vonnegut's short stories. It contains none of the warmth, humor, or poignant moments you would expect from a writer of his skill. It's as if you were reading the rejects from his wastepaper basket.

1.0 von 5 Sternen 3 improbable things, 6. August 1999
There improbable things about this book: (1) the plot; (2) the fact that it was ever published; and (3) that I actually wasted money on it. Wouldn't have been worth a quarter in a bargain bin at the used book store.
