Not the best but a good and honest one, 28. Juni 2005
This CD is certainly not the best one but it is a least an honest one. The quality of recording is good, the choice of marches is good even if there are many tunes that I did not know before listening these CD. The bands are good and the orchestration is good too. Also, this is 3 CD BOX SET and at this price, it is a very inexpensive choice to give you a taste of the German Military Marches. Liking or not a CD is always a question of personal point of view but I may tell you that this CD is an interesting choice; you may buy it.

It is really not a good CD., 27. Juni 2005
I have bought three CD under the brand or the label "CD SONIA" : "Unsere Deutschen Mârsche", "Alte kamaraden" and "Osterreicheische Militärmärsche". In my opinion, the quality of recording of these three CD is definitively bad, mainly for "Unsere Deutschen Mârsche". Not only I consider that the quality of these CD is too low, but also, I believe that Amazon must withdraw the CD from their catalog. I consider that I have paid money for a bad CD and if I was aware about this bas quality, I would never bought these CD. The choice of tunes is standard but there is certainly a huge problem with the recording and probably a slight problem with the orchestration. I will not recommend to buy this CD considering the important lack of quality. It is really not a good CD.

Poor quality of recording, 22. Juni 2005
This is the second CD under the brand or the label "CD SONIA" that I bought and the quality of recording is definitively bad. I have had the same problem with the CD "Unsere Märsche" under the labal "CD SONIA" too. The choice of tunes is standard but there is certainly a huge problem with the recording and probably a slight problem with the orchestration. I will not recommend to buy this CD considering the important lack of quality. It is really not a good CD.

I have listened many German Military Music CD and even if, it is not the best, it is a very good one. Herbert von Karajan is always a great conductor, the choice of marches is good, the tunes are well played and the recording is excellent. In some tunes, I consider that there are too much instruments and the orchestration is too "expensive" for a military march and it is the reason why I give only 4 stars to this CD, but it does not remove anything to the quality of this CD. If you know nothing about German Military Marches, it is an excellent CD to buy.

Bonne exécution et bon choix de pièces, 16. Juni 2005
Ce CD contient douze marches militaires allemandes exécutées selon le style de la musique militaire allemande avec précision et emphase sur le style légèrement saccadé qui caractérise la musique militaire allemande. Pour une personne qui ne connaît pas la musique militaire allemande, ce CD représente un bon choix

Poor quality of orchestration, 15. Juni 2005
Perhaps, it it a question of choice but I consider that the orchestration is not very good. It is not a question of the technical quality of the recording or the choice of the tunes and marches; it is just that I do not like what I hear. I owe some CD of German military marches and the sound is clear and bright. On this CD, the sound seems veiled, clouded. It is really not the sound that I have the habit to hear on a CD of German military marches.
