Not without merit but..., 8. Juni 2000
These auditing techniques and whatever else are nothing new. There are SOME good ideas in it, but Dianectics is psycho-babble, with borrowed psychology excersises thrown in. That's about it. One could possibly benefit somewhat from it, but please stay away from the Church of Scientology. Do not give them any personal information such as phone numbers or an address. I speak from experience, they will not leave you alone. You will be constantly hounded through phone calls and numerous letters, flyers, brochures, newspapers, etc. My mental health has not improved significantly since I read the book, nor after attending the Church's seminars. The Foundation is now a source of frustration and anger for me, as they have ignored my repeated requests to be left alone. Don't bother with it. Instead, read any other self-help book out there. Eat Healthy, take your vitamins, abstain from alcohol, excercise, take up a hobby, volunteer, raise a family, take a positive outlook, do all the things that will make your life full and complete. You don't need to buy this book or give ONE DIME to the Church of Scientology to achieve that.
