5.0 von 5 Sternen One of the best!, 19. Juni 1999
This is the second book in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, so obviously, if you haven't read The Fellowship of the Ring, you won't get it. Otherwise, it is one of the best books that I have ever read. I'll admit, the first 50 pages were kind of slow, but when Merry and Pippin meet Treebeard, everything is swept along from there. I liked how Frodo almost tamed Gollum, bringing him away from the lure of the Ring. Unfortunately, he doesn't quite succeed. Gollum delivers Samwise and Frodo into the hands . . . er-claws of Shelob and . . . well, I won't tell you the rest. Just listen to my advice, and read this book!

5.0 von 5 Sternen There's finally a person who knows how to write Star Wars!, 21. März 1999
This book is so cool! Thrawn's the best, even better than Vader! I could go on for days raving about this master piece! The only thing I can't compliment is the cover art. There's something wrong with it, but I can't figure it out. Anyway, like they say, you can't judge a book by its cover. You've got to by this book! Trust me!

3.0 von 5 Sternen Fair enough . . ., 1. März 1999
Usually, I tremendously enjoy Kevin J. Anderson's books. This, unfortunately, was not one of his better ones. I didn't like how the super weapon malfunctioned. I was looking forward fo a last minute save, like in A New Hope. There wasn't much of Leia, and that wasn't good. She's one of my favorite characters. Still, if you're looking for an okay Star Wars novel that you can read without gagging (unlike Splinter of the Mind's Eye) this is a worth-while book.

5.0 von 5 Sternen I've got nothing against super weapons., 17. Februar 1999
This is a great book!! Jedi students ready to defend their master to death. A Death Star prototype and Admiral Daala. A desparate mission to save Anakin from the clutches of some Imperial (I forget his name.) The coolest part is when Exar Kun is destroyed. I don't understand how people could give this a one? Good work, Mr. Anderson!!!!

5.0 von 5 Sternen GREAT BOOK!!!!, 16. Februar 1999
The New Rebellion is an awesome book! The plot, the characters. Everything that a good SW novel should have. My only complaint is that it's so long, I've forgotten what happened in the first half of the book! Oh, well. Just have to read it again!! Buy this book!!!!!!!!

2.0 von 5 Sternen Sorry. Maybe next time. . ., 15. Februar 1999
Okay. This book is not, definately not, a good Star Wars book. I wish that I had more nice things to say about it. Vonda whats-her-face gave it a good shot. Unfortunately, maybe she should have tried watching the movie before she started writing. The characters we all know and love are flat. I mean zip. Luke, Mr. Jedi Master, they guy who resisted the Emperor and Vader is a whining crybaby who gets under the influence of some blob. Come on! Leia is flat. The Chief of State is not going to run of like that. Yo, she has a government to run. Were is See- Threepio? Our prissy chatter box spoke, maybe five words in the whole book. Han has a strong will, and would not practicly cheat on Leia. Since when does he let an inkeeper push him around? Hethir or how ever you spell it? Get lost! Waru? Bring me a basin! I'm going to be sick! Overall, stick to Star Trek, Ms. McIntyre.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Forceflow is. . ., 15. Februar 1999
I really enjoyed this book. It's so cool how Forceflow turns out to be Gog! At first, I couldn't believe what I was reading. Now I see that all of those "warnings" he sent were just for keeping Tash, Zak, and Hoole from meddling in Project Starscream. This book is a definate must-have for any Star Wars fan!!

1.0 von 5 Sternen Pure balony!!!!, 15. Februar 1999
This book was worse than Bantha dung! The characters were totally flat and two - dimensional. Leia depends on Luke for EVERYTHING! As my favorite character, I should know that that is not her personality at all! She is certainly not idiotic enough to duel Darth Vader! That crystal business is junk! Don't waste your time.
