Wenting off the season in february or march to namibia is great. You will find easily hostels and other accomodation all around the country. This guide also shows clearly what is worth seeing. But by a detailed map in Namibia and don't use the lonely planet maps. They are dissapointing and sometimes wrong.

Last year in September I went with my motorbike to france. This is off the season. I was around with a tent and there was not lonely planet necessary for finding camp ground all around the southern france. Also in the provonce it was very easy to find very good small restaurants which also provides a few beds at acceptable prices. So if your buy the lonely planet only for searching hostages, save the money!

For seeing the landscapes and sightseeings there might be better guides than this lonely planet.
