Honestly, this book is far away from professionalism and I wouldn't even recommend it to an amateur because it might give him/her wrong impressions and ideas. Even worse, wrong or inaccurate information is spread.

For example, resolution is not only limited by the sensor! Noise isn't increased by the length of exposure and the temperature! More megapixels do NOT translate into higher quality pictures. Aperture doesn't define how much light passes through your sensor but the lens! DOF doesn't solely depend on the aperture but the focal lenght and sensor size as well!

Latest here I had enough but I forced myself to continue a little bit further when stumbling over the next curiosity: we are talking about DSLR, aren't we? Then why is a fixed lens subject to this book?

Sorry, that was definitively enough and I couldn't force myself any futher. Please don't waste any money on this book, although you might be a rookie to photography! It is not worth it!

Nothing's wrong with giving the amateur some guidance for studio shootings but this book is turning posing into a complete farce. The poses shown in this pamphlet are ridiculous, making both the model and the photographer look bad. In addition, the lighting used for the shots is more than boring and nothing you want to use for spectacular portraits at all.

Finally, shouldn't a guide give at least some explanations and advice? This collection of horrible shots comprises of pictures only, no explanations about light, light formers etc. whatsoever.

Not worth a buy!

Instead of offering an effective way how to learn Chinese, this book is telling you something about why it is important to learn Chinese, that you should learn Chinese phonics, that you could use Chinese TV or podcasts to learn the pronounciation, how many characters you might need to know, that you should stay motivated, and ... That you should take a Chinese class!

HELLO??? What help is this book giving me that I haven't known before?

This book doesn't add any value at all and I do NOT recommend spending any money on it!

What a scam! 70% of the "book" is advertisement and the remaining 30% are not giving you any value at all.

Out of this book you won't learn much about the Salzkammergut, one of the most beautiful areas of Austria. It is a poor description of a road trip or vacation the author experienced, unless you might be thrilled by the fact, that Steve "organized a cheap Mercedes Smart car" in Salzburg. There are NO photos at all (other than the cover page) but only a lot of unnecessary prosa and yackety-yak!

Don't waste any money on this, it's not worth it!

Die Quintessenz des Buches in ganz banalen Worten: ein Gedanke, eine Idee lässt uns etwas zunächst ganz bewusst tun, bewusstes Handeln wird durch regelmäßiges Wiederholen zu unbewusstem Handeln, unbewusstes Handeln wiederum beeinflusst unser bewusstes Handeln.

So oder so ähnlich war die Message während des ca. ersten Drittels der Lektüre. Danach streubte sich mein Unterbewusstsein zu sehr, als dass ich hätte weiterlesen können, und ich musste das Buch einfach wieder aus der Hand legen, zu unerträglich waren mir (oder meinem Unterbewusstsein) die ständigen Wiederholungen der selben Theorien und Beispiele. Viel schlimmer noch waren allerdings die zahlreichen Rechtschreibfehler, die sich auf beinahe jeder Seite fanden.

Na, da hat sich wohl der Fehlerteufel schon ins Unterbewusstsein eingeschlichen.

Ein paar Gedanken zur Weltverbesserung, die richtigen Kontakte, Politik als Hobby, ein Image im absoluten Gegensatz zur wahren Persönlichkeit... auch so können Karrieren gemacht werden... und Grundlage für ein amüsantes Lesevergnügen sein.

Die Herren "B" und "H" aus Bella Italia stehen im Mittelpunkt dieser Satire und teilen in Dialogform und mit Witz und Ironie ihre Gedanken und Ideen mit dem Leser. So formt sich über die Jahre und die Seiten hinweg das Bild und das Image des Politikers "B" und am Ende des Buches ist man sich (fast) sicher: Ja, so hätte es passieren können.

Selbst ohne politisches Insiderwissen oder ein Faible für den Staat der Pasta und Pizza ist dieses Buch durchaus ein Geheimtipp - vorausgesetzt man liebt lockere, spritzige Satire, die wie ein Prosecco auf der Zunge prickelt.

If you'd expect specific project planning details; home design solutions, and/or architectural advice/solutions this book might disappoint you.

Nach "Fröhlich durch das Chaos" und "Was ...... du willst kein Haus bau'n ???" jetzt tiefsinnige Gedichte und nachdenklich stimmende Erzählungen statt frecher Schnauze - eine ganz andere, mir bisher unbekannte Seite der Gräfin, die ich ihr - offen gestanden - nach den erst genannten Büchern so gar nicht zugetraut hätte.

Aber dieser nachdenkliche, ruhige, tiefe Aspekt der Schriftstllerin hat mir sehr gut gefallen. "Seelenbilder" ist weder kitschig noch in irgendeiner Art lächerlich oder befremdlich sondern eine Sammlung schöner Geschichten voller Liebe und Weisheit.

Bitte mehr davon!

... bleibenden Eindruck vom Hausbau gewonnen. In salopper, humorvoller, ironisch-sarkastischer Art beschreibt sie hier den Albtraum aus Bürokratie und Inkompetenz, der den Weg ins Eigenheim platzern und die Vorfreude auf die eigenen vier Wände so richtig verhageln kann.

Habe mich beim Lesen sehr amüsiert und bin zu dem überzeugten Schluss gekommen: ein Glück, dass ich nicht gebaut habe!

Honestly, who chose those teachers? As a native German speaker I wonder who came up with this collection of words!

Just to mention some examples: taste bud is for sure NOT one of the words used most often in Germany, and besides, the singular form is "Geschmacksnerv" and NOT "Geschmacknerven" (plural), as this book is trying to tell us. Furthermore, it is "Zahn" (tooth) and masculine and NOT "Zähne" (which is plural again) and feminine. Stomach is "Magen" in German and not "Bauch" which would be belly in English. And I could continue this list furthermore.

Sorry, please go back and do your homework or hire me / better German language teachers!
