The Dancing Boy

Hi, something perhaps a little different.

On a hot sweltering day in Afghanistan a young British soldier is dragged back from an IED by a small Afghan boy. Luckily he lost a foot and not his life.
The small Afghan boy wasn't so fortunate. His family was killed by the Taliban as a warning to those foolish enough to help the coalition forces, and he was sold into a child trafficking ring as a dancing boy.
The young soldier on the threshold of PTSD discovers the boy's dilemma, and riddled with guilt takes it upon himself to return to Afghanistan to search for the boy in the hope of finding him a better life.
But what he encounters is betrayal, lies and horrors in a world he never knew existed.

New release:Fatal Return
When an eccentric billionaire hires Jake Sands, a maritime history professor, to give a farewell speech for the Queen Mary's last voyage, Jake readily accepts the offer, not knowing he will be sucked into a fatal plot for revenge that began in WWII with a disaster five times more deadly than the Titanic.

The Dancing Boy

When ex-soldier Tom Gillet returned to Afghanistan to search for the boy who saved his life, little did he realise what he was about to walk into. Beyond the corridors of official power, he entered into a maze of corruption, betrayal and child sex slavery so vast that it threatened not just his life, but everything he ever cared about.

The Dancing Boy
If Shafiq hadn't shouted a warning Sgt Tom Gillet would have died. Instead, when the IED exploded he lost his right foot. Days later Shafiq's father was beheaded by the Taliban, his mother and sisters raped and shot as punishment for aiding the coalition forces. Shipped back to the UK and on the threshold of PTSD, Gillet discovers Shafiq has been sold into an Afghan cultural tradition known as `Bacha Bazi' child sex slavery, to an Afghan tribal warlord. Desperate for one last shot at action Gillet returns to Afghanistan as a civilian intent on searching for Shafiq and bringing him back to the UK. What happens next is stunning, and reveals a darker side of the Afghanistan conflict.
This book is not about war, it is because of war.
Not for the squeamish.
