ummm, you mean the Iron Druid! Great series though, and what do you call what's happening between Atticus and his apprentice, if not romance??

Try Daughter of the Oceans
It is Pure Romance :)
The main guy characters is quoted as saying "not that many girls believe in love at first sight as one would think"
In this book a group of five young men who are only part human fall in love with girls at first sight but only if they are a damsel in distress. The girl cries and they can't help but fall in love with her for the rest of their lives.
That is what happens to Eric. He and his friends pick on a girl who is babysitting and she cries. Eric is head over heels in love with Cassandra.
He thinks up ways to meet her but when she doesn't show up for school on Monday he feels that she is avoiding him.
Their enemies the Merpeople (maids and men) call on them for help that afternoon. They are looking for a child lost in the woods.
Eric helps and he is the one to find. He realizes that it's Cassandra. Things go from bad to worse when the Merpeople want to adopt her.
He can't admit who they are without admitting what he is. He is one of the five Sons of Thor, who hunt down and kill Merpeople.
Did i forget to mention that his history teacher is on his case.
The story is told from Eric's point of view as well as Cassandra's. Both in first person.

I have been reading many of those books mentioned before, but there is just 1 , really only 1 super favorite: The books from Joe Abercrombie like "Best served cold" and best of all "The blade itself". There is a lot of wisdom in those books.

Aldrians ADVENTURES (E-Book)

Aldrians Adventures Part I + II (Paperback)

Go with Aldrian on a thrilling journey! Smell mossy forests, fresh juicy meadows and the smoke, which spreads itself again and again in the region. Hear the clank of blades, the bursting of shields, the hissing of arrows and the screaming on the battlefield. Get to know the noble and wise Elbs. Enter the halls of the Dwarves. Enter the fantastic underground empire of the magic-talented Gimplings. Get to know the folk of the gigantic Ogers. Also the lizard-like Cwards will you encounter. Don't confront with them, since they are cowardly, perfidious and malicious. When you see the luminous eyes of the Garlags, when you hear the hissing of the wing flapping of their dragons and the wild screaming of her women, then run for your life! But if you want to reach fame and honor, then help Aldrian with his difficult tasks. Discover how a boy, which only just became a man, is drifted from adventure to adventure and often doesn't know how he should master all this.

Try Sharon Lee, Carousel Tides - one of the best fantasy novels I've read in the last years.
About the book:
Kate Archer left home years ago, swearing that she would die before she returned to Maine. As plans go, it was a pretty good one — simple and straightforward.
Not quite fast enough, though.
Before she can quite manage the dying part, Kate gets notice that her grandmother is missing, leaving the carousel that is the family business untended.
And in Archers Beach, that means ‘way more trouble than just a foreclosure. ("About the book" copied from Baenebooks)

My favourite fantasy is Terry Goodkind's 'sword of truth' series. A real world feel with elements of fantasy that add to rather that detract from the characters. Also try Orson scott Card's 'seventh son' fantasy with a real difference.

And if I dare be so bold: my fantasy novel Fuel to the Fire, the first in series (2nd published, 3rd being written) and FREE today. Here's the blurb:

Fuel to the Fire is FREE today:

Having spent her entire life disguised as a boy to avoid the risk of being forced into sexual slavery, fifteen year old Davran finds herself transported to a world thought to be legend. With sunlight, an abundance of food and people that trust, this world is everything her home is not. She could be happy, she could disclose the love she feels for Ronyn (the dragon trainer's son), but when Hesperus (the Keeper-of-Knowledge) discovers her, she may have to return to a world of misery where even suicide is no escape and where the most frightening monster is not the dragons or the razor-hounds, but the tyrannical ruler, Saurian.

I would recommend the series by Linsay Sands (An Argeneau Vampire Novel).
Her Books contains a funny potpourri of fantasy and a whiff of erotic.

I'm not sure Arlene Webb's series The Colors qualify as paranormal romance exactly. The most unusual books I've read recently. Splintered Energy (The Colors) is the first. Brilliant humor. Literally. And plenty of romancing going on. :-)
