I thought four-and-a-half stars would accurately sum up the book, but apparently you can't do that. Although I enjoyed the insights into the pre-Little Earthquakes years, about half of the text consisted of things I'd already read in interviews. But the visuals more than make up for it.....almost every picture I've seen of Tori is gorgeous, and this book is no exception. I especially enjoyed the ones from her private collection (childhood photos, etc). It's a nice addition to any growing Tori collection, and imformative for those who don't know much about her. In short- buy it for the pictures!

Anyone who loves Tori knows that to know her, you've got to listen to the music, feel it, recognize what in yourself echoes in response, and then find your own voice and use it. This book skims the lovely surface of that which is Tori, but through no fault of its own, falls short in capturing all that is the essence of Tori.

But, there's something nice about a coffee table worthy book that is stylish in presentation. And being a Tori fan, I consider this book an important addition to my library.

For anyone who is a die-hard Tori fan like me, definitely get this book for all its excellent photos. There is lots of biographical information but not much that I didn't know. I was hoping to read stuff about Tori's miscarriage and her new album From The Choirgirl Hotel. But it was still worth buying.
