Maybe I'm just easily entertained, but I thought this book, and series in general was pretty interesting. After the first book, which I admit was only probably a 2.5* book, the others were fairly interesting. I do think that the author has somewhat limited the world to her characters by limiting events. This statement is somewhat comfusing, but I think you will understand once you read the books. However, this book kept me entertained and it was very fast paced. I actually think it could have been longer and had a bit more detail, but thats probably because lately I've been reading R. Jordan novels. Overall though, a good book.

She's got a nifty writing style. One that makes me think I'm right there. And I like the dragons. They're immense! They've got goals, and they're not motivated like human characters are. They're like the way I pictured dragons to be. Much fun!

It is a shame that Dragonlance has allowed someone who writes this poor to launch it's new novel line, and I think someone at TSR must agree. If you read this book, as well as the others in the trilogy, and then read Dragons of the Fallen Sun, you can see many inconsistancies and a few attempts to reverse the damage this trilogy has done. My advise is skip this trilogy and read the new stuff by the talented writers.
