From Skeptic to Fanatic, 19. Juli 2000
For most of my 7th and 8th grade year, a few of my friends were chomping through these books while I found it easier to jump on the bandwagon and make fun of them for reading them. But then in 9th grade, I picked up one of the pre-cataclysm books and started to read it. I finally realized why they loved these books so much. They were a perfect mix of mystery, of magic, brute strength, mythical beasts, comedy and romance. I'd never read such perfectly balanced books in all my life. I found myself reading the books during the 9 months of school. When the school year had concluded, I had read 15 of the books from the DragonLance Saga. Each one was unique in its own way and gave you a different perspective on the entire land of Krynn through the eyes of different characters of seperate races. Ever since I started reading these books, my creativity has been stoked and I can't stop reading the books and writing my own stories.

Wow!, 13. Juli 2000
Dragonlance: The Annotated Chronicles is a brilliant work of fantasy, adventure, action, and drama with a touch of mystery and romance. It is truly a unique book. Absolutely magnificent! A good story (Ok, so it's basically Bahamut vs. Tiamat just like in one out of every twelve AD&D quests, but it's still cool) with a cast of great, unforgetable characters. There's the slightly dull but brave and compassionate Caramon, the slightly sinister, highly cynical, power-hungry mage Raistlin, the comical Fizban (my favorite character), the happy-go-lucky little kender, Tasslehoff, the grumpy old dwarf, Flint, the naive elf, Laurana and her older brother, Gilthanas, they're adopted brother, Tanis, the power-hungry Dragon Highlord, Kitiara, the valiant and honorable Sturm, the mysterious Goldmoon and her companion, Riverwind, and many, many others. A must read!

A Book of Memories, 30. Juni 2000
Reading this book again was a very surreal experience. A friend first got me into Dragonlance about 8 years ago. The first Dragonlance book I ever read was the Chronicles Collection. I instantly fell in love with the world of Krynn and the cast of characters that are forever etched in my memory. Since then I have collected most of the series with special emphasis on the original characters and their families. Though I have never played the board games or got into the fantasy game side of this strange and exciting world, the novels are well written and keep you craving for more. Kudos to Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman, the two best writers in my world. This updated version of the Chronicles Saga was very informative, I especially liked the sidenotes. Having read the books before, it was cool to see what the reasoning was for certain plot twists and turns. A great book, about some amazing characters, from a wonderful world!
