The most famous and legendary kender of them all finally takes (or borrows) center stage! When Wanderlust overcomes young Trapspringer Fargo, his insatiable drive for adventure propels him along a route that only a kender could map. With curiosity as his only guide, he sets out across Ansalon and unknowingly crosses paths with a pair of corrupt gully dwarves and a misplaced evil fiend (Oops!). The result is not only the inevitable madness and mayhem, but also a chance for the diminutive Trapspringer to save all of Krynn from a catastrophie of Takhisian proportions.

I have to say that I am a seasoned reader and am very used to slow beginnings. With great excitement, I turned to the first page. I love books about kender. I disregard the incoherent preamble...I read 50 pages before the idea strikes me that maybe it won't pick up. It didn't. I suffered through an entire book of horrid subplots. Where's the kender humor we all know and love? This book was a complete waste. The heroes were drab, the villains boring, and the entire convoluted basis of the story was not worthwhile. Plus, at the beginning of most chapters, there were confusing nararrator's notes which successfully broke the feel of being with the characters. Additionally, the end was weak and unfulfilling. One more thing...It's incohesive with the rest of the wonderful DragonLance saga. Please, for the sake of your sanity, DO NOT READ THIS BOOK! If you want kender humor, try "Kendermore" by Mary Kirchoff. (P.S. This would be a zero-starrer, but Amazon didn't offer the option)

This book started off slow and never picked up. There is nothing interesting or different about Uncle Trapspringer, it is a complete waste of time and money. I found the Kender to be so completely depressing. It is the ownly Dragonlance book so far that I have completely dispised.

THIS IS THE GREATEST BOOK OF ALL TIME! I couldn't put it down. I was reading all day, and I loved it. Also, it had the best ending I have ever read in a book. I won't give it away, but if you read it, I guarantee you'll love it. 5 stars all the way!
