4.0 von 5 Sternen The Peaks and Pitfalls of Ayn Rand's Philosphy, 2. Mai 2000
Ayn Rand's philosphy is correct, and beautiful, if you will, in that it speaks for the indivdual and for self-motivation. It also speaks against all principles which I identify as Communism, Socialism and Dictatorships, all of which I hate with a passion. However, in standing up for the indivdual, she also speaks for selfishness, which, like the power if Socialism, corrupts anyone, brings them to hatred in the eyes of peers and in the eyes of many religions. More than anything, though, Ayn Rand's For the New Intellectual makes you think, and you come up with your own profound philosphy on ego and the indivdual, a philosphy which will touch your life deeply, and hopefully, the lives, the souls, around you.

After I had read For the the Intellectual, I found myself craving to find more knowledge of her philosophy, I saw in a winderfully flowing style the actual points of Ayn Rand's philosophy. Unlike many of those who read this book(probably only the portions they needed to convince themselves of this Author's psychosis) and posted their reviews, I was not revolted by these words. I have seen these things around me all my life, and if Ayn Rand had not published her philosophy, I surely would have published something very similar eventually. It seems to me that the people who are turned away by this book are the people that take the most benefit from the current moral scheme. The people who are the fanatic crazy types about this philosophy are the one's who have been drained of their entire essence and wish to unlock their inner capabilities. If you wish to simply be able to live fully, fully for yourself, and wish to use YOUR potential to the fullest extent, then I suggest you read this stunning piece of work. And please take not that it is philosophy, and not an exact account of history

Alot of the problem with the arguments facing Objectivism is the fact that all use aspects of the Altruist philosophy which Ayn Rand was against. You should maybe stop saying that because she is not a professor in history that she cannot rationalize the causal effects of history, or maybe you shouldn't say that there is a problem with anyone who tries to do such. Because remember, in your philosophy there are no absolutes, except those needed in the expediency of the moment. Maybe try for one moment to rationalize a matter for yourself and see how it feels. When you can produce something for yourself and reap the rewards, like I have, you will no that Objectivism is the only true Philosophy.
