Many women wish they were better negotiators. Women are often taught to defer or manipulate, but few are taught how to negotiate effectively. Most negotiating books are written for men. They focus on tactics and winning. They focus almost exclusively on outcome. Women negotiate differently than men and think about negotiations differently. If you are a woman in business, then you must have this book! Negotiationg is skill that all women must develop in life, and you are at a huge disadvantage if you are not good at negotiating. The best advice in this book? "Know when to walk away"...whether it is in the business world or in your personal life. I am sending my marked-up copy to my daughter who will be graduating from business school in the spring. Every chapter offers up a solution to negotiate a favorable outcome to get that better deal either in negotiating a job, buying a home, car or handling complex relationship issues. I wish I had read this book a decade ago! A male friend recommended it several years ago and I recently ordered it through you.

Then I picked it up and read it. An amazing book. I was able to use the advise immediately and found that it helped me get what I want at work and at home with my husband and children. I don't expect to need the chapters on cars, houses or divorces but the other chapters are directly applicable to things I have to deal with every day.
