Wolverine and Black Cat met Arcade and White Rabbit and won. Kind of. When the villains meet a guilibel alien, Wolverine & Black Cat are sent into Killraven world, Earth's future where mankind is enslaved by Martians. Logan and Felicia will have to find their way back to their time and help Killraven if possible.
What can I say ? I usually like Justin Gray & Jimmy Palmiotti's works. But this time, they wrote something better and really funny: a delight to read. The heroes spend most of their times smiling, fighting exploding aliens and taking about sex. Yep, that too. It might be upsetting for some people but I liked that the sexual innuendo is written in a funny way, not machist, not feminist but clearly everyone is horny. Everyone is making the best they can and do not think that there won't be a tomorrow. In those grim'n'gritty times, that's really some fresh air. And the story goes clearly to the point with only 3 issues. (The book contains a Killraven one-shot too.)
I don't know Joseph Linsner works, but it doesn't strike me as funny stuff. Here, in Claws 2, I find a another side to his craft and he succeeds in rendering the comedy through the whole book.
I loved Claws 2 and I really want to read again the first mini-series, hoping there will be another one in future days. Yep, I'd like to see Wolverine trying to cut Galactus in half.
