Budd is undeniably one of the best in his field, and I have respect for the man...but, and this a huge *but*, this book is loaded with anonymity; too many names, faces, and people we just cannot verify...as much as I understand the need for concealing identities, it doesn't help me believe the story he tells me here...well-written, but many of us can weave this sort of a tale provided we don't have to verify names, have to offer the hard, factual evidence needed to confront these people face-to-face and inquire as to the truth...sorry, but it doesn't work for me...until, and if, writers in this genre can give us the true "who, what, when, where, and why" of these startling anomalies, they won't be taken seriously...and that includes Budd Hopkins...these writers complain about the truth being hidden, yet all the while hide behind the curtain of anonymous sources in doing so; you cannot have it both ways...tired as it may sound, what's good for the goose is good for the gander...
