Format: Taschenbuch
This was a awesome book I read. I found it when we were cleaning the basement, and I read most of it on a trip. It is a book that answers many interesting questions as in "Why is Bettie Rubble not a charator in the Filnstones Vitimans?" I hope you pick this or another "Imponderables" book.
Pom-Pomed Terrors Thundering Across the Savana!, 16. Januar 2010

I must have a sick or at least a bent mind. I walked into a used book store that I frequent, spotted the title, "When Did Wild Poodles Roam the Earth?" And I had to buy it. A thoroughly enjoyable book on Feldman's Imponderables that can be read all at once, or over a long period of time, ( i.e. bathroom book). Why did I just have to buy it you may ask? Here is the hook that got me, "wild poodles, roaring across the savanna like thunder, a famished, snarling pack of them advancing inexorably upon some heedless dinosaur prey...they are bloodthirsty , they are savage, they are shaggy..." That and the Thurber like cover art of the alert aggressive hunting pack of pom-pomed terrors sold me right on the spot. Yep, as we say here in East Tennessee, "I just ain't right".

Quit enjoyable and a good informative read in the same model as Feldman's, " Do Penguins Have Knees?" and , "Why Do Clocks Run Clockwise". A collection of numerous things that make you go....Huuummmmm. While David Feldman's books may never answer the eternal question of, "What is the meaning of Life?", they will answer just about all the others.
Again, a highly enjoyable and informative read, recommended !

A fun and informative read! 21. Oktober 2012
Von Joanna Mechlinski - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Taschenbuch
For those who enjoy finding out little-known details about the world around them, this is a must-read!

This volume of Feldman's "Imponderables" covers such burning questions as "Has anyone ever seen a live Cornish game hen?," "Why do painters wear white?," and "What are we smelling when it 'smells like rain is coming'?" Some questions readers may recognize as ones they themselves have pondered; others, they might never even have considered til that very moment, simply having taken them for granted. Nonetheless, every answer is informative, and as Feldman's writing style is humorous and breezy, learning is fun!

Watch Out for FiFi 11. Juni 2004
Von Baroness Von Grim - Veröffentlicht auf Amazon.com
Format: Gebundene Ausgabe
It's not a question of "when" but "where". I can no longer even walk to the corner convenience store for a Mountain Dew and bag of pork rinds because of the fierce (yet, impeccably groomed) poodle pack that now terrorizes my neighborhood. Last time I tried, FiFi and her two toy henchmen, Mr. Patty Cakes and Deux Deux, leapt out from behind some bushes and tackled me to the ground. They threatened me with their finely cut rhinestone collars and candy colored toenails. FiFi told me that if I ever set foot on their turf again they would use my liver for their lunchtime fois gras. The other two laughed in ear piercing yelps. I was afraid, very afraid.
