Kurzbeschreibung
I have always been overweight. As a child, my grandmother would tell me I was “pleasingly plump.” I thought that was a good thing until other kids started making fun of me and calling me fat. I was never one to gorge on food. I wasn’t selfish and demanding great gobs of food or big servings. I was just an emotional person and didn’t know how to deal with my feelings.
Weight issues are an awful thing, and whether you are overweight or underweight, you are still obsessed with it. I still have a lot to work through myself, and would never claim to be perfect. However, I would like to offer you the opportunity to begin writing about how you feel and try to determine why you think the way you do, and to leave your mind open to finding new and fun things to do with your time besides eat. I’m not a doctor or a psychiatrist, and I don’t promote any specific diet. This is merely a tool to get you to face some of the tough things in your life by writing.
For this book, I’ve come up with 120 questions concerning weight in 8 different categories: Body Image, Food, Dieting, Health, Social Occasions, Emotions, Spiritual and Exercise/Recreation. These questions are designed to make you think about yourself and why you do what you do and how you feel about certain weight issues. All you need is a computer or a paper and pen to begin writing.
