Each episode of the first two seasons gets a snappy yet learned summary, including a "Quote of the Week," a quick recap of each love entanglement and relationship switcheroo (and no soap opera is tanglier than Buffy), a "Pop-Culture IQ" guide (when Oz hunts for Buffy--who's been turned into a rat--that's Michael Jackson's "Ben" he's singing), countless pop-up balloons of fun facts (Buffy was turned into a rat in order to free up her schedule to host Saturday Night Live), and a catalogue of "Buffy's Bag of Tricks"--her weapons, plus all the spells, chants, incantations, and previously incomprehensible rock-band lyrics on the show.
There's way more than we can list here. Not only do we get an ample sample of dialogue nearly as clever as Seinfeld's, there are also scenes from the original scripts that were cut for length and cast interviews. Every single vampire, demon, witch, zombie, mummy, werewolf, shape shifter, ghost, reanimated cadaver, invisible killer, prehistoric parasite, monster puppet and psychotic robot on Buffy's acrobatic dance card gets its due.

I was at a bookstore and I saw this book laying down in the Bargain Books area. I am the biggest Buffy fan in the universe so I piked up and ran to go buy it. I also have a website and it gave me everything I needed for the site. Inside there are 298 pages of good info about the show. This includes: Song list, episode guide, cast, characters and behind the scene pictures. But be warned this only covers Season 1 and 2 of Buffy. You will have to wait for the next one to come. But if you are looking for the best Buffy refrence book deffinetly buy this!

The watcher's guide is a total perfect guide for any die hard fans that yearn for buffy information.If you love buffy and want to know more about it this is the book for you.It's got everything and facts that you never knew about buffy,episodes synopsis up to the third season,behind the scenes look at sunnydale high and the characters,stunt double,pictures that are remarkeable and a jam packed book that huge and reliable,it's awesome with information you can't find anywhere ele,it's a must buy for a buffy die hard fan!~Linda davt

This book was definitly worth reading if you are a die hard Buffy fan like myself. It is filled with alot of intresting facts. These facts include descriptions of episodes, a description of the town of Sunnydale (which is the same school used in Beverly Hills 90210), interviews with the stars of the show, and short biographies about the stars. For each episode listed there are detailed descriptions(I think it has all of the episodes up to through the second season). They include things like the quote of the week and missing lines that were edited out because the script was to long. It explains what happens in the episode and includes pictures. The only thing lacking, in this book, is the fact that they could have included more quotes and more quiz questions, but overall the book is definitly worth your money.
