The end of the stars draws near. Three must become four to battle the darkness that lasts forever. . . .

With a divided StarClan driving a treacherous rift between the four warrior Clans, the spirits of the Dark Forest are gaining strength. Ivypool’s role as a spy is becoming more dangerous with each passing day. Dovewing is haunted by nightmares about the mountains and finds herself paralyzed by fear of what lies ahead.

Then an outsider appears in ThunderClan’s midst, spreading discord and pushing the Clans further apart. As tensions mount and Clanmates turn against one another, the warrior cats will be forced to choose whose word they can trust—before it’s too late.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Hollyleaf is back 19. April 2013
Von C.W.
Format:Taschenbuch|Verifizierter Kauf
and the fact that Hollyleaf is comming back is the best part of the book. Despite this the rising of the dark forest, loads of evil cats is not a really suitable lecture for children - I am a grown up and found it disgusting.
If I was a kid, I would not be able to sleep at night after reading about cats who want to destroy and kill others.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Great! 10. November 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verifizierter Kauf
As most of the books of the warriors story, these is the right lenght, the right price (as e book at last)... Gripping and fun, sad at some points. I still find it amazing how Erin Hunter managed to keep this story interesting and new for so long. How they made up the language of the cats (it is the same as ours just some words are a bit different like a description of thing) is still a riddle to me and it is always surprising and fun.
A Must for all warrior fans, obviously. Whoever is new to the series should start reading it from the first book. The series are very good to read even for english learners. :)
no problem to read it on the kindle paperwhite

5.0 von 5 Sternen MINOR SPOILERS - Fantastic return to Warriors intensity 26. November 2011
Von J. A. Kossler - Veröffentlicht auf
Format:Gebundene Ausgabe|Verifizierter Kauf

This series and the one before it have been a little slow and have dragged. I continue reading the series loyally because I really love the Warriors world and everything about it -- kits being born, apprentices being named, warriors being named, warriors becoming deputies and leaders, the disputes of the clans... it's just a really fantastic world, even though the storylines have gotten a little convoluted and strange lately. The previous series disappointed me because it didn't resolve any of its main plotlines.

This book, however, shows that the Hunter team is narrowing their focus and working on resolving the threads that were set up in the previous series. I don't feel like, as a reader, I'm stumbling along a path with no structural plotting. The action is much more interesting, the ending is packed with excitement and a heart-pumping battle like the first and second series always promised, and the characters area really being put to the test. Warriors is getting dark and I'm loving it.

We are starting to get some resolution on the following plot threads seeded in previous books:
- Where did Hollyleaf go?
- What about Cinderpelt's reincarnation?
- Where did Sol go?
- What's going to happen with the Dark Forest?

Those questions start to be answered, enough that I didn't feel frustrated that they were blatantly ignored (as I've felt in the previous books), but leaving enough that I'm waiting on edge for the last and final book of this series. If the way they're tying up the threads in this book is any indication of the quality of the next and last... you know you're in for a real intense adventure.

A++ on this one, way to get back on track ;)

5.0 von 5 Sternen Best Book in Omen of the Stars so Far! *SPOILERS- READ WITH CAUTION* 13. Februar 2012
Kinder-Rezension - Veröffentlicht auf
Format:Gebundene Ausgabe
The book was well paced, and, said in the title, the best book in OOTS so far, with Fading Echoes and Nightwhisper close behind. There was some fillers, although good ones! Vicky Holmes, 1/4 of the Erin Hunters, said that "A dramatic return, even if it's very dramatic, won't fill 300 pages." So obviously they added a filler, because it is over 300 pages. (315 to be exact.) My guess is Sorreltail's kits, but I enjoyed reading about them, so I cannot complain!
Anyways, Hollyleaf IS the Forgotten Warrior, and she first appears towards the middle of the book. Sol also appears, and the prologue is about him making his way towards the clan. He causes more complications during the book, but I will not go too deep in detail.
Hollyleaf was about to admit that she killed Ashfur at a Clan meeting, but Brambleclaw backs her up and says it was an accident, which we all know it was not. So Hollyleaf begins to train the clan in the tunnels, because thanks to Dovewing's powers they know that WindClan is planning an attack (led by Sol).
Yellowfang tells Jayfeather to tell Cinderheart that she was Cinderpelt, and he obeys. Cinderheart then thinks that she has to be a medicine cat, and then when Cherrypaw and Mousewhisker falls ill and Cinderheart rushes in to help, all the clan knows that she was Cinderpelt. I would tell more about how Cinderheart learns, but I don't want to give it away.
Near the end of the book, Dawnpelt accuses Jayfeather for murdered Flametail at a Gathering. The other medicine cats want Jayfeather to step down as medicine cat until StarClan gives them a sign or they find proof, but Jayfeather stubbornly refuses and reveals to everybody that StarClan has sent each medicine cat a sign to go their own ways.
Lionblaze and Cinderheart are still distant from each other, so their relationship gets nowhere, but Lionblaze confesses to Squirrelflight that she was a good mother to him and his littermates, and that she should have had kits with Squirrelflight. He also ends the chapter when Hollyleaf appears with "No! Hollyleaf, I won't let you runaway again!"
The book ends with Dovewing, Ivypool, Hollyleaf, and other ThunderClan warriors leaving the tunnels from the attack from WindClan, whish Dovewing heard and was able to get there before WindClan left the tunnels.
Also, Ivypool kills Antpelt, who died in "Night Whispers" I believe. He, of course, went to the Dark Forest, and to prove Ivypool's loyalty to the Dark Forest she killed Antpelt again. Breezepelt then finds out what she did, and hissed something like "Just because we're both here doesn't mean your my clanmate. You will pay for what you've done!" (Breezepet was Antpelt's clanmate.)
Bumblestripe takes a liking to Dovewing, and Dovewing occasionally thinks of Tigerheart, but declares that "It is too late for us [she and Tigerheat] not to be enemies." When they meet by the border. Dovewing starts to spend time with Bumblestripe, but only after Cinderheart encourages he to.
And that's the main plot! ;)

5.0 von 5 Sternen The Forgotten Warrior 10. Januar 2012
Kinder-Rezension - Veröffentlicht auf
Format:Gebundene Ausgabe
Every book in Erin Hunter's Warriors series is hard to put down and intriguing. They reveal secrets that astonish readers and set their minds whirring. This one is no different than the others- in my opinion, it would be rated among the top three of the qualities I just listed. If you are looking for a good read, this one is for you.

There is action. There is mystery. There is suspense. There are battles. This is an average Warriors book in this respect, but it is more well-written than those before it. It isn't too long or too short, either. It is average if you look at that part of it too, but, like I said before, it's more well written and exciting. Along with watching the stories in this series unfold, watching Erin Hunter's writing skills progress is also fascinating. Knowing that each book will get better than the last (with this being no exception) heartens me and readers. It definitely makes me eager for The Last Hope, the final battle, and how it will end.

If you want to know who the fourth cat in the prophecy is, I can tell you that it is NOT discovered here (I hope I haven't spoiled anything. I give you my sincere apology if I did).

I can tell people who would like to buy this that it is a good investment. I was so excited and impressed, I read it in a day!
