If you're a translator looking for good value, look somewhere else. I purchased this as a CD-ROM, hoping to have gotten a decent legal dictionary with some commercial terms in exchange for plunking down a good bit of money. But instead, the only thing that really impresses me about the CD is its high-quality packaging. All terms are translated without any explanation, a grave error in such a complex field as law, and even then some of the translations are incorrect, or merely calques.
I'm still sticking with my handy Schäfer for commercial terms and am hoping that I'll find another decent legal dictionary somewhere else.
The one aspect of the dictionary that I find outstanding (earning it the two-star and not a one-star rating) is its structure. As it comes in three volumes, each volume is structured to handle a different legal system - the German, Anglo-Saxon and French ones, respectively. Too bad that this brilliant insight didn't translation into a better execution.
