Vurt - virtual reality not outside / in cyberspace (there is not even a hint of "cyber" in the book) but inside: drug-induced experiences but the "dream" is manufactured, edited, interactive, industrialized just the same. Not since "Neuromancer" by W.Gibson so many years ago have I come across a book which had so many new ideas. It is almost like a sonata - playing with variations and mixtures of "pure" beings (e.g. shadowwoman, dogman, shadowvurt, ...) and emotions; there are dreams, fantasies, nightmares, suspense: the book has it all. great reading!
