This book is written to help people using the Doris Egli-style figures to prepare and give Bible lessons for children. The children are very fascinated by the dolls. The book has a section of photographs to help the user express various emotions with the dolls. The book does not give much information for anyone who wants to construct the figures himself. It does give contact information for someone who wishes to attend classes on how to use the dolls and contact information for ordering materials in order to construct the dolls. It devotes quite a number of pages to a lawsuit brought by Doris Egli against others who had worked with her to develop the figures. The end result of the lawsuit is that anyone may make and use the figures as long as there is no commercial gain involved. I would give the book five stars if it gave detailed tips on how to construct the figures at home, but Doris Egli wants you to buy the materials from her. She claims this is to preserve the integrity and quality of the figures.
I apologize for writing this in English. My skills in German are still a bit amateurish. And, when I was in Germany during the summer of 2003, I spoke reasonably good German to people, but they almost always responded to me in English.
