Kurzbeschreibung

If you’ve ever wondered how Twitter works, how to tweet and most importantly how to use Twitter to grow and promote your business, this book is for you. This short, easy step-by-step guide will help new and inexperienced Twitter users get started with using Twitter for business.

You’ll get Twitter tips that will explain not only how to use Twitter but why to use Twitter, and how to use every tweet to meet the business objectives you’ve set for yourself.

This book in useful for freelancers, bloggers, solopreneurs and small businesses who want to use Twitter to promote their products or services and build brand awareness.

You’ll learn the basics of how to tweet, when to retweet, who to follow and why, what to share and how to build an engaged following, not of random Twitter users, but of potential customers who are interested in what you have to offer, or who will share what you have to offer with other people.

You’ll learn how Twitter works, the basics of Twitter marketing and how to use Twitter efficiently and effectively. You’ll discover how to tweet in such a way that every tweet is directly or indirectly benefiting you or your business.

Other Twitter tips shared in this book include how to check your statistics to make sure you’re building an engaged following of real people, how to get guaranteed retweets to your best and most important content, and how to use Twitter to market a local business, an online business, a niche blog, a book, or a freelance service.

If you want to market yourself, your products or your business on Twitter, but don’t currently use it at all (or don’t spend much time there because you just don’t ‘get it’) this is the guide you need.

5.0 von 5 Sternen Excellent book for people who want to use Twitter to promote themselves! 2. Mai 2014

I downloaded this book because I thought it might have some tips that I could use to effectively promote my writing, and I was right. This book is full of great tips a well as some links to free tools you can use to unfollow people who don't follow you, as well as manage your Twitter and other social networking accounts, and gave me some great ideas for things I can do to interact with people who might potentially buy my book "Your Work at Home Journey: Three Paths You Can Take and What You Need to Know Before You Go." I'm looking forward to putting some of the tips Karen Bane provides into practice.

4.0 von 5 Sternen A good introductory book on using Twitter effectively 30. April 2014

If you’re a writer, you want people to read your work. That requires marketing – the bane of most creative types. Social media, in today’s connected age, is a great way to market your work, and of the social media platforms, the one that is most often overlooked is Twitter. If you’re new to Twitter, it seems daunting – starting with the 140 character limit on tweets.
Thanks to author Karen Barnes, though, there is now a handy tutorial – a sort of ‘Twitter for Dummies’ – that will very smoothly guide you through the process from setting up a Twitter account, to understanding things like #hashtags and @mentions, to effective Twitter strategies. A useful book for anyone who wants to communicate short messages, or links to longer messages, to a massive audience – and being in e-Book format, it’s appropriate. Barnes knows her way around the Twitterverse, and is a good tour guide. My only complaint about the book, which I received free in exchange for a review, is that the opening chapter is a bit too long. Much of what is in that chapter could have been an opening paragraph of the next chapter. But, that just might be my bias from spending too much time reading truncated Internet messages – yes, and Twitter too.
Would that we could all write books that there would be only one picayune complaint about. Kudos to Banes for a wonderfully useful book.
4.0 von 5 Sternen Worthwhile use of your effort to gather knowledge! 25. Dezember 2014

Most interesting book. If you are looking to understand Twitter for marketing and find a way to integrate it into your own plan of business, this book might give you some things that other Twitter books have left out.

The author does a good job of offering components that need to be in your plan, something we all seem to need.

I withheld the 5th star simply because the book, while very useful, does not qualify as "earth shattering."
5.0 von 5 Sternen Excellent Twitter tips to keep you focused on results 8. Juni 2014

I've used Twitter for some years myself, and as an author mentor, my students often ask me how to make best use of the network. Karen Banes provides an excellent overview of Twitter for the new and even more seasoned user.

She does a great job telling you how to avoid the many pitfalls that turn people off or waste your time. You'll discover how to use hashtags (those #s you see, in case you don't know), and how to be a responsible social citizen.+ This book will help you use twitter wisely without using your day.

I also appreciate that she does not tell you to automate everything and come off as a bot. You'll be a real person with minimal use of the tools that supposedly save you time but only make you seem unreal.

If Twitter confounds or confuses you, get this book.
