Synopsis
On a busy Washington morning, the stately calm of the White House is shattered as terrorists gain control of the executive mansion, slaughtering dozens of people. The president is evacuated to an underground bunker, but not before nearly one hundred hostages are taken. One man is sent in to take control of the crisis. I really enjoyed this book. Once I started reading it, it was hard to put down. Fast action keeps your interest. If you like his first book, "Term Limits", you will like this book also. I agreed with another reviewer -- "Tom Clancey move over".

Die Handlung von "Transfer of Power" könnte aus der Fernsehserie "24" stammen. Kompromisslos wie Jack Bauer kämpft Mitch Rapp gegen Terroristen, die das Weiße Haus besetzen und versuchen, den Präsidenten in ihre Gewalt zu bringen. Die Spannung beginnt auf der ersten Seite und hält bis zum Schluss an. Weltliteratur kann und darf man sich freilich nicht erwarten. Wem aber bereits die Fernsehserie "24" Freude bereitet hat, wird sicher auch an diesem Buch Gefalllen finden.

Vince Flynn has published his second novel and I was just as impressed with Transfer of Power as I was with reading Term Limits. In fact, I believe the Transfer of Power actually exceeded the excitement and drive Term Limits set as a benchmark for Vince's writing style.
I myself am not a political reader, per se, but I very much enjoy reading Mr. Flynn's interpretation of fictional possibilities within our nations capital. I can't wait to read his next book in this series!
Take my word for it, Vince rocks! I place him into the small group of writers where I prefer the hard cover over the paperback.

Nonstop action.

Enjoy a new writer while you wait for Clancy to write!
