Torsten Oltmanns has a track record in Management and Consulting on the field of Change Management and Communications. He studied Economics and Social Science at the University of Cologne (1986-89 and 1991-93) and was trained as business journalist at the Cologne School of Journalism in parallel. He worked free lance for several print and electronic media before becoming Chief of Staff for the SPD Chairman (1994), working e.g. on the privatization of the postal services and the "Solidarpakt". As a Manager Communication Services (1996), he re-positioned the brand McKinsey&Co in Western Europe and consulted clients with IPOs and change projects. As Director Reform Management and Controlling (2000) at the MoD in Germany, Torsten steered the modernization of the Armed Forces, realizing privatization projects and implementing management instruments. As a Principal at Booz Allen Hamilton (2003) and subsequently as Partner at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants (since 2004), he works on Change Management and Public Sector issues and is acting as CMO for the 35 offices in 25 countries. In parallel, Torsten lectures at the University of Innsbruck, Austria (since 2007) and is "Visiting Fellow" at the University of Oxford (2008). His PhD on Change Management is in the making at Leopold-Franzen-University, Innsbruck.
Ökonom Torsten Oltmanns ist Partner und Direktor Global Marketing bei Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. Er hat den Umbau großer Unternehmen und die Reform von Verwaltungen realisiert und lehrt dazu an der Leopold-Franzen-Universität Innsbruck. Bei Campus veröffentlichte er den Titel »Eliten-Marketing«.
