Tong Sing is the chinese equivalent of the Farmer's Almanac, not a collection of random factoids that people think are "Chinese".
He is one of those "white guys" who thinks he is an authority in Chinese culture because his wife is Chinese, but in fact he doesn't know anything beyond eating with chopsticks. Flipping through the pages, it shows how little he knows or appreciates it.
If his aim is to make fun of the Chiense stereotype, his efforts are half-baked at best. This book offends those who care about the Chinese culture, and spreads lies for those who don't.

A book for those who want a broad view.

I must say other reviews knock it based on the authors personal opinion, oh well. The content of the book I found greatly intresting and I couldnt put the book down. It is the broad aspect view I've been looking for!

Not the real Tong Sing, but includes many Chinese Things

The authors of this book is creative to introduce Chinese culture in a book seems to be a tong sing which is a fortune-telling book in China. This book includes sufficient information about Chinese culture such as cuisine, festivals, etc. It is really an interesting book to learn Chinese culture for non-Chinese.
