Ich besitze ein gebundenes Exemplar der Auflage von 1981, das ich mir 1989 gekauft habe. Von da ab lag dieses Buch praktisch immer in der Nähe meines Zeichentischs. Harold Whitaker und John Halas dem Animator unschätzbare Erfahrungen weiter - als Animator weiss man, wie mühevoll und zeitraubend einzelne Lernschritte sein können! Hier wird "nur" auf den Bereich "Timing" eingegangen, aber in welcher Vielfalt! Einige Themen: zeitliche Umsetzung des Storyboards (Bar Sheets), Timing zur Musik, Ursache und Wirkung, fliegende und geworfenen Objekte, Visualisierung von unterschiedlichen Gewichten und Materialstärken, Flammen, Rauch, Wasser, Timing bei der Charakteranimation, Lip-Syncing u.v.mAlles ist sehr sehr anschaulich und nachvollziehbar illustriert und mit systematischen Hilfen versehen.
