Kurzbeschreibung
In 1948, Tulsa, Oklahoma is experiencing booming prosperity and growth after a devastating depression. The oil barons can finally send their daughters to college again, and Katherine Belle Ramsey is living it up at the University of Tulsa with her sorority girls, quarterback boyfriend, and stellar grades in the infant field of psychology. When Katherine struggles to pick a dissertation topic, she turns to her best friend, Jessica Davenport. The girl is prone to violent outbursts, tantrums, and generally behaving like a spoiled brat.
As Katherine studies Jessica, she stirs up more than she bargained for. As Jessica begins to lose her grip on reality, Katherine is plunged into a world of psychosis, murder, and dark family secrets that should have stayed buried. She realizes that there is more to Jessica, something dark, lurking beneath the surface. As Jessica comes to terms with her own mental illness, Katherine delves into what it means to love someone as a friend- and what it truly means to be crazy.
