a very complete and useful guide!

This book is awesome! I got a chance to see a copy of the newest edition and its insane how much info is packed into this book. Pretty much, if you even thought about an element of She-Ra collecting, its in this book. It has all the action figures, playsets, weapons, horses and stuff but also all the bad guys like the Horde and Snakemen from MOTU and books, magazines, fashions and other items. The pictures are also great! There is a nice big pic of each figure with detail shots on some. They not only show the dolls in color but also their accessories too which is really handy if you are trying to get your collection together. They even have little checklists inside so you can mark off what items you have and which ones you need which is really sweet. I missed POP the first time around by a decade or so (lol), but I just started getting into it when I saw some of the figures on eBay. I think this book did a really good job of being both the perfect tool for someone like me who is just starting out to give us an idea of what to look for and how much things are worth (from what I saw on eBay, the prices in the price guide are pretty much right on) and also to the advanced collector because it has all the super detailed information like variations, prototypes and international versions. I was very impressed with this book and the amount of information in it and I would definitely recommend anyone who loved this TV show or these toys to check it out!

This book has the POWER

This 57 page paperback edition of She-ra toys is well worth the pricey tag that comes along with it-- at first i was disappointed with the amount of pages for a $30dollar book- BUT almost every single page is colored-and there are excellent pictures of every She-ra MOTU character including crystal castle and the extra outfits and comic books.
Each of the characters has a page dedicated to them- in color- and a SMALL description of each; including what makes them more valuable and variations between year releases. Then there is a box to the right of the picture with a average price for a NIP (new in package), complete (with accessories etc), and loose (the figurine without all clothes/swords/etc). At the end of the book is one page dedicated to the Horde characters (minus Cat-ra & Entrapta who each had their own page). There are not prices for the Horde characters.
Some of the action figures are missing their accesories in the pictures but overall they are complete- a couple of them shown are NIP as well.
DePino also provides a concise introduction worthy of a standing ovation. I loved this guide and read it from front to back. I would recommened the book to She-ra collectors as well as Children/Teens of the 80s who had anything to do with these characters- a nice item to have and read.

Finally, a guide for collecting my favorite toy line!!

The She-Ra Collector's Inventory is a very nice guide to the Princess of Power toy line. It has a great introduction that gives a history of the Princess of Power (POP) series as well as the Masters of the Universe (MOTU) series. It helps to show how important the POP line was, even though it had quite a short run.
The price guide is excellent; it gives full information for each action figure/accessory/playset, including alternates and variations. Values are given for "Mint in Package", "Complete", and "Loose" conditions. Information is also given on some prototypes that were never released.
Some of the pictures are not the best quality, but they provide what they are meant to provide. Overall, this book is an excellent buy for any She-Ra collector!
