The tour stretches from the wealthy Empire of Tolnedra to the remote Isle of the Winds, from the mysterious mountains of Ulgoland to the forbidding reaches of darkest Mallorea. Readers visit the time before Time when two opposing Destinies began the cataclysmic struggle for supremacy that would involve Gods and men alike, crack a world asunder, and threaten to unravel the fabric of the universe itself. One also gets to see the origin of the Orb of Aldur and glimpse the final act upon the Sardion Stone. -- Dieser Text bezieht sich auf eine vergriffene oder nicht verfügbare Ausgabe dieses Titels.
There's a fascinating introduction, a personal history of Belgarath the sorcerer, Holy Books, Gospels, Histories, King Anheg's diary, and an afterword. Footnotes tell how the authors used and changed these materials in writing the books. And of course, there are plenty of maps (the starting point for all epic fantasies). --Nona Vero -- Dieser Text bezieht sich auf eine vergriffene oder nicht verfügbare Ausgabe dieses Titels.

The only original bit is from the Books of the Seers of Kell, but even that does not manage to hold the interest as Edding's simply likes to show off his "oh-so-wonderful" writing skill. Again, his arrogance and near distain for his followers, thinking that he could fob them off with this minimal effort offering is staggering.
If I could give this book a minus I would. The only good bit was that Edding's stated that there would be no more Belgarath books ever, and I hate to say it, but after this appalling book I am glad, as this "effort" has only damaged one of the best fantasy sagas of all time.
I repeat, THIS BOOK IS LIKELY ONLY WORTHWHILE IF YOU HAVE ALREADY READ AT LEAST THE... Lesen Sie weiter...
