In the last three years no book managed to touch me as deeply as “The Promise of a Pencil” by Adam Braun. It made me re-evaluate my life, the choices I made, the person I am and the person I want to become. It opened my eyes to the importance of education. Because it's true, education is everything. I've struggled with motivation for a long time just as many other students but with my final exams approaching fast and deciding what to do with my future this book really was an eye-opener.
I have been a fan of Sophia Bush for a very long time and I've always found here to be very encouraging, motivating and eye-opening. She was the one who made me get a further education, to make something out of my life. And she was the one who draw my attention to this amazing organisation. She introduced me to Pencil of Promise and by that she introduced me to Nith and Nuth and all those other children Adam and his organisation helped. When I bought this book I didn't think it would hold what it promised just because there have been so many books before this one and none of them affected me in that ‘Oh my god I really want to shout the name of the book on the top of my lungs from my roof and tell everyone about it’ way. But I was in for a massive surprise.
And by buying the book I made sure a child could recieve education for one day. Which is kinda crazy if you ask me. That something so small can do so much.
If you ask me this book is a must read for every person, no matter what age, who want to be the change in the world they want to see. Who want to do something that matters and help a child.
Thank you to Sophia and Adam for opening my eyes, for giving me something that I have missed for a very long time; passion. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And I will definitely do everything I can to support this amazing organisation and its cause. Let's build more schools, let's change more lives, let's make more children have that unique sparkle in their eyes and those gorgeous eye lightening smiles. And let's do it together!

Adam Braun has not only created an amazing organisation in Pencils of Promise, but he has also managed to tell his story and his WHY in a beautiful, exciting and well written way. You get pulled in as a travel companion following his journey and his extraordinary meetings with people along his travels, and how he takes his first steps in creating possibilities for young children to get schooling. Thank you Adam for inviting us in to your life and joining your mission.

I've always been a fan of Adam Braun's organization Pencils Of Promise, so when his book came out I immediately felt the need to read it and I was very touched not only by how much he is doing for others, but also by how much he shares with you about his family and personal life. He tells the story of how and why PoP was founded in such a personal way, you just don't want to stop reading it. This is a very good book about an important issue in this world so I would definitely reccommend it to everyone out there! I hope a lot of people all over the world will read this book and realize how important education and giving back is !!
