When you look at the first page of a recipe book and think, “Oh my gosh, that looks awesome!” you are either in trouble or in for a delight. Or hungry. And if you weren’t hungry when you start this book, you will be when you finish it. “Paleo” may be the new hot thing, but comfort food is MY thing. (I wrote a bestselling cookbook about family favorites recipes a.k.a. comfort foods, so I have a little insight here.) This book points out that Paleo diets have been around for about 35 years, and discusses the things to eat and the things to avoid, but also delivers some AMAZING recipes that may become some of my NEW family favorites! You will LOVE this book--in every way!

I'll tell you my reasons. First, I have looked for a book to explain simply and straightforwardly what the Paleo diet means, entails, requires. This book does that better than any I have found. Second, it even takes into account what sorts of Paleo diet foods help or hurt if you are trying to lose weight. Third, and best, the recipes! Talk about comfort foods! And they are not hard.

I always thought Paleo diet meant give up taste, but that is not at all what has to happen! Get this book, you will love it!

I have had great personal success losing weight with the paleo diet - but do now feel I can "stray" a little - so this new book by Martha Drummond was just right for my needs. I anticipated finding the "basics" - but what I found was much much better. The recipes are easy to follow and every one has been a success for me. I got this book because I have been hearing a lot of raves about the Paleo diet and I want to try it myself. This book explained what the diet is all about and how it is healthy for the body. The recipes look good and my favorite are the desserts! I like this diet because it involves eating real food, not just salads. I can't wait to try all the recipes!

I've been on & off several different diets for several years now and nothing seems to stick for me. I have to say, this book gives me some hope. The recipes are very easy to create and offer great flavor. That seems to be the key with me. I need something I can stick with but it not only needs to be easy to prepare but it also needs to taste good. This accomplishes both for me. FYI: I think I could eat the thyme and peppercorn beef tacos just about everyday...They are awesome!
