Was one of the best books I have read in a long time. The last 1/4 of the book turned around everything I thought I had figured out. It kept me quessing till the very end and shocked. I have shared this book with friends and they had the same feeling as I did. It was an excellent, fast-paced read. Don't miss this one!

Wanna feel the edge of your seat? Or be kept on your toes? This is the thriller for you! It is most certainly a book to read with all the lights on. Melanie has no memory of her life before she was adopted, even though she was 9 years old at the time. Now someone wants to give her, her memory back, even if it includes the darkest nightmare the Stokes family must ever face ... the murder of their first daughter. As Melanie pursues every lead to find her identity, two seemingly unrelated events come together putting her very life at stake. Melanie fears the family that she loves the most maybe the people that she should trust the least. Excellent from the start! Grips your attention.

It is surley hard enough to know that the parents you live with are not your birth parents. But life get's tough if you happen to stumble on evidence that those people you love so dearly might have something to do with the violent death of their own daugther...maybe your adopitive mother, your adoptive father , your adoptive brother or even your beloved Godfather is a killer - or are ALL of them in it. Just read it! One just can't put that book down. I am looking forward to reading "The perfect husband".

Couldn't get into it

It was good and kept turning the pages in the book

Good but not great

Okay By Me
It may not have been "The Perfect Husband" but it was a good book. I am really looking forward to more of Lisa Gardners work.
